Saracen Interiors is heading North in 2014 as it begins a series of projects in Leeds, York, Derby and Peterborough. The commercial fit out expert will be opening an office in Wetherby as a base from which to manage these confirmed projects as well as further enquiries from Northern-based potential clients.
The company has worked for the client, a leading global environmental services provider, consistently in recent years in various locations in and around London. The current projects, which have a shared value of over £1 million and range from fit outs to dilapidations and minor refurbishments, are expected to finish within a six month period with the first major fit out due to be completed by the end of March 2014.
Saracen is renowned as a prominent player in the South East where it has built a strong reputation for the quality of its work and its flexible approach. Last year, it launched three divisions - Saracen Facilities, Saracen Small Works and Saracen Move Management – to accommodate the growth that it has experienced in all three commercial areas. Having demonstrated good potential to generate growth across these services, geographical growth has been seen as a natural next step.
Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page explains: “The recent economic climate has driven a lot of change in the industry and the companies that are surviving are those who have adapted to the changes and are listening to the needs of their clients. Last year, for us, that meant investing in our service offering to provide our clients with more of a one stop shop.
“This year’s growth is equally organic. We have a client who trusts us and has selected us as a preferred partner. Its property portfolio extends around the UK and so they are now looking to us to support them in other locations based on the standard of work we have carried out for them in the South East and London. Saracen is all about building solid partnerships and so we are delighted that our first major venture in the North is at the behest of an existing client.”
Saracen’s recent clients include Yum Restaurants International, Paragon Community Housing Group, TE Connectivity, Aspect Property Group, Flight Safety, CH2M Hill, Countrywide PLC, Knight Frank, Mitie Engineering, Pizza Hut, Redrow, Soccer World, Thames Water, Toshiba, Trident Trust, Viatel, BAE Systems, Sue Ryder Care, Sandhurst School, North Surrey Primary Care Trust, Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospital NHS Trust.
