The increasing demand for highly flexible, self-contained portable buildings has resulted in the doubling of orders over the past year for Foremans Relocatable Building Systems, the UK’s largest supplier of refurbished Portakabin buildings. This follows a significant increase in its building stocks to help more businesses to expand.
Having already acquired a Foremans portable building around eight years ago, Flaretec Alloys & Equipment had a requirement for two additional single modular buildings to accommodate its growing business. Established in 1979, the company specialises in the manufacture of bespoke pipework, pressure vessels and heating equipment for the oil and gas industries.
A 34ft pre-owned Portakabin building was selected and supplied, providing two offices for the company’s fabrication manager and site foreman. Office accommodation for a further four engineering staff was then required towards the end of the same year. A larger 48ft portable building was chosen, configured as three offices, and delivered to site ready for occupation.
Commenting on the project, Ivan Manuel, Managing Director at Flaretec Alloys & Equipment, said, “The quality, availability and cost of Foremans’ portable buildings meet our needs. They offer a good selection covering a range of building types for us to choose from, backed up by a good level of service.”
“Recycled buildings are ideal for our business because they are available for occupation instantaneously – whereas it would take several months to build offices from scratch.”
Foremans’ buildings, which are available for sale, range in size from 10ft to 60ft long and are a fast and highly cost-effective solution for businesses wishing to expand as economic growth starts to recover.
Foremans recently expanded its operations to include a southern regional centre to enable it to quickly respond to existing and future business in the area. The building stocks are held at both operational centres, in East Yorkshire and Hemel Hempstead, and the accommodation is immediately available on an ‘as seen basis’ ensuring the fastest possible lead times.
The buildings are easy to site and install with low foundation costs, and the approach radically reduces cost and programme times by up to 70 per cent. It is also one of the most environmentally friendly methods of construction and a highly sustainable alternative to new build because the buildings are recycled.
Foremans’ stocks meet a variety of standards, finishes and budget requirements, and applications include single modular buildings for staff, office, security or storage space.
Foremans is the largest supplier of refurbished Portakabin buildings in the UK. Its products were manufactured to the highest quality standards and are fully traceable – single modular buildings manufactured by Portakabin all have serial numbers, which is not always the case with modular buildings from other sources.
In addition to its range of self-contained portable buildings available for sale, Foremans also provides refurbished modular buildings for purchase or hire and in single and multi-storey configurations.
