Tinytag carbon dioxide data loggers are being used byleading Danish environmental monitoring company ArbejdsmiljoeCentret (‘works health centre’), to help ensure optimum conditions and energy efficiency are maintained in workplaces and schools. CO2levels arerecorded to check whether ventilation is sufficient for the room compared to the number of people that are using it, preventing a CO2 build-up, maintaining air qualityand ensuring the wellbeing of occupants. If the results are poor, then a recommendation is given to improve or install mechanical ventilation.
The CO2 loggers are discreet, wall mountable and easy to use.Users are able to set a desired upper ppm (parts per million) concentration limit which will trigger a flashing red LED light if this level is reached. Recorded data is downloaded to a PC via a USB cable and viewed with easy to use Tinytag Explorer software. The standard Tinytag CO2 logger is a 0-2000ppm version costing £350 (excl VAT) including mains adaptor, cable and software. For more specialised situations a 0-5000ppm version is also available.
Manufactured in the UK, data loggers in the Tinytag rangemonitor various environmental parameters including temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and single or three phase power usage. Data gathering andanalysis of results will help identify areas where steps can be taken to reduce energy consumption, maximise cost savings and help verify the performance of heating and ventilation systems. If required, data from Tinytag loggers monitoring different parameters can help provide anintegrated overview of building energy efficiency.
