ARCO LAUNCHES ONLINE GUIDE TO SAFETY SIGNS
Hazard warning signs, prohibition signs, mandatory signs and safe condition signs – understanding the legal requirements for signage and how to make your workplace safer can be confusing. Following the success of the its Safety Signs Catalogue, Arco, the UK’s leading supplier of personal protective equipment and workwear, has now launched an online guide to safety signs.
The dedicated signs section of the Arco website offers a single source of information on standards, advice on different signs and a place to purchase any of the signs required, including the ability to order customised signs. The online guide has been designed to work alongside the Arco Safety Signs Catalogue, offering customers flexibility and ease of use.
The website has been categorised to make navigating and choosing easier, for example many of the signs have been labelled as ‘required by law’ or ‘Essential for Warehouse’ to help guide users to the correct selection. The website also includes information on the size and material used in the sign, as well as a ‘handy hints’ checklist to make things even easier. There is also the option to request customised signs, ask for advice and request a site survey.
ISO 7010 is a new standard that will be introduced across Europe in the next few months to ensure that all safety signs are consistent between countries, so it is important to ensure that current signs are relevant. The signs website offers guidance on this change plus a selection of signs that comply with the new standard.
