SPACEWAY TACKLES FIRE SAFETY

Since the introduction of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, companies with over five personnel, including visitors, have been responsible for carrying out their own fire risk assessment. If a company is making any changes to it’s building, those alterations need to comply with current fire regulations. Integrated interior solutions company, the Spaceway Group, an expert in fire screens for buildings has launched two new lines to add to its arsenal of fire safety products.

The Komfort Sheraton veneer certified range of timber doors are available within a variety of aluminium, steel and timber frames and are tested to meet integrity FD30 and FD60 fire performance. All doors are performance rated to BS476 for both smoke and fire penetration. Spaceway can also provide a unique lacquer to meet Class O and Class 1 spread flame requirements.

The Komfire partitioning system is both attractive and practical and is available in 75mm and 100mm nominal thickness options. Comprising of a stud and plasterboard construction surrounded by aluminium frame, the fire resistant Komfire 75 partitioning is rated to thirty minutes whilst the Komfire 100 provides one hour’s resistance.

Both Komfire partitioning systems offer exceptional acoustic performance rated at 43dB and 52dB respectively and are available in a choice of BS or RAL colour coat finishes. They are available with a range of glazing options including single centre, single offset or double-glazed.

There is a wide range of fire screens available through Spaceway including fire curtain walls, glazed firescreens, door and window combinations and double and single acting doors.
