Volumatic’s Cash Handling Products certified by European Central Bank

Volumatic’s CounterCache™ intelligent (CCi) cash security machine and portable TruScan forgery detector have both been certified for inclusion on the European Central Bank website. The website lists bank note authentication devices that have been tested by the National Central Banks of the Eurosystem (NCB’s) and demonstrated the ability to accurately recognise Euro counterfeits.

The published list aims to help users decide suitable products for detecting forgeries and includes the CCi and TruScan. The CCi is a cash security storage machine at the point of sale that scans, validates and counts bank notes and then stores them securely in a tamper-evident pouch for easy transport. TruScan is a low cost, portable forgery detector that uses multiple detection methods including infra-red detection, magnetic ink, magnetic code and 2D size recognition to accurately identify forgeries within 0.5 of a second.
