Volumatic Attends ACPO to Showcase Products that Reduce Retail Crime

Volumatic was recently selected to exhibit and demonstrate its latest technology at nine ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) Regional Engagement Seminars – Business Crime, across England & Wales. The ACPO-led seminars, managed and facilitated by the Co-operative Group, aimed to promote better partnership and engagement between all key stakeholders. Volumatic were invited as a preferred external partner to showcase the CounterCache™ intelligent cash security machine.

Volumatic’s CounterCache™ intelligent (CCi) helps eliminate errors and losses at point of sale and massively reduces cash processing costs in retail outlets. The CounterCache™ intelligent unit scans, validates and counts bank notes and then stores them securely in a tamper-evident pouch for easy transport. In addition, the CCi provides a continuous timed transaction log, with full note count. All operations including opening and closing the CCi door, removing and inserting the pouch carrier and power losses are monitored and logged.

The ACPO seminars were attended by representatives from the Police Service and Police Authorities, Home Office, Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships and the Business Community. Key speakers included Mr Alan Cambell MP, Minister for Crime Reduction, Lord Brett, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State and Assistant Chief Constable Allyn Thomas, Kent Constabulary who is also the ACPO National Lead on Business Crime. Representatives from other European Police Services also attended.
