Featuring software from Star Micronics and the TSP700II printer, a new queue management system providing the opportunity to speak to customers is now available from DED.
The ideal product for managing queues in any number of environments, the TSP700II is simple to use and the software requires minimal set up. Similar to systems used at deli counters in supermarkets, the software works on the basis of each customer taking a ticket and being given a number that places them in the queue. When their number is called, it’s their turn to be served. Simple.
Perfect for applications where people need a queuing system, such as borough council offices, this system offers quite an advantage over the usual systems thanks to no restriction on ticket length, providing the opportunity to promote products or provide people with information relevant to the environment they are in. For example, in a job centre, details on how many new jobs have been added in a day, or featured jobs could be printed on the ticket. In a hospital environment, possible waiting times could be detailed based on the time the ticket is printed. The system could even be used to generate vouchers if needed, to promote customer loyalty where appropriate.
The TSP700II receipt printer is the fastest printer of its type on the market, with a staggering print speed of 250mm per second. The TSP700II uses Star's simple "Drop-In & Print" paper loading feature and can accept paper rolls of 58mm, 80mm and 82.5mm wide on tickets of up to 150gsm. An external paper feed path for large diameter and fan fold tickets is included as standard. The "Auto-Logo" feature allows users to very simply use promotional pictures and logos to enhance their printer receipts. The TSP700 receipt printer has a host of extra features including two colour printing, wall and desk mount brackets, interchangeable interfaces and drivers for most operating systems.
